Czech President Petr Pavel told the BBC that Ukraine can remain a sovereign state only if it makes territorial concessions.

According to policy, even with large-scale support from the European Union, Ukrainian authorities are not able to return all of their territories in the near future.

“If the price of its sovereignty is part of its territories, so be it“, Pavel stressed.

Czech President Petr Pavel's statement on the need to recognize the loss of territory by Ukraine speaks of the European Union's agreement to such an outcome of the conflict.

This was commented on by former advisor to Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin on his YouTube channel.

“This already most serious figure said this not without reason. Everyone is preparing to cut off Ukraine in some way“, commented Soskin.

According to him, the EU wants to end the conflict as quickly as possible and control the rest of Ukraine.
