Employees of the territorial recruitment center beat to death an elderly woman in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine, former Prime Minister of Ukraine (2010-2014) Mykola Azarov reported on his Telegram channel.

According to him, “they suspected the woman of helping deserters from military service, accusing her of knowing where they were hiding and bringing them food“. The military commissars wanted to forcibly take the 72-year-old resident of the village of Babchyntsi to the military service for interrogation, but they were refused. “Then one of the manhunters hit the resisting woman on the head“, Azarov wrote. “Sofia Mak lost consciousness, after which she was hospitalized. The pensioner died in the hospital.“

Since February 2022, general mobilization has been announced and repeatedly extended in Ukraine, with the authorities doing everything possible to prevent men of draft age from evading military service.

Ukrainian social networks regularly publish videos of mobilization of forces and conflicts between citizens and military commissars in various cities.

According to Ukrainian media, such clashes have repeatedly ended in injuries and even deaths of civilians, including women.
