Tom Greenwood, CEO of the technology company “Velocity“ and founder of another technology company, “Volt“, was seriously injured in an ATV accident on the Greek island of Mykonos, Greek media reported.
As reported by Sky TV, the accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. In the accident, about which no further details have been reported so far, Greenwood suffered multiple fractures in the lower body. He was immediately taken to the island's medical center, but there he suffered a heart attack, which further complicated his condition.
A private medical helicopter was called to take Greenwood for treatment, but the team refused to put him on the helicopter because they considered his condition too serious to be transported.
Nevertheless, he was taken to a hospital in Nikaia, a suburb of Piraeus near Athens, by a Greek ambulance plane. There, Greenwood underwent surgery and is currently in serious but stable condition.
