French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are acting like big shots in the US, but their countries are in dire straits, former adviser to US President Donald Trump Steve Bannon told the GBN television channel.
„If you look at the bigger picture, you'll understand why I'm so dismissive of Starmer and Macron. They come here and act like big shots. Starmer would send troops, 30,000 troops, to Ukraine. And yet they will do nothing because they really do not have the capacity“, he said.
At the same time, Bannon notes, in addition to external problems, these countries face many internal challenges that significantly complicate support for Kiev.
On August 18, Macron and Starmer, along with other EU leaders and Volodymyr Zelensky, held talks with Trump in Washington. The parties discussed the security guarantees for Ukraine that European countries intend to provide in coordination with the United States.
If the United States refuses to provide personnel support to the Ukrainian armed forces and stops exchanging intelligence, the Ukrainian conflict could quickly end, said American military analyst and former Marine Corps officer Brian Berletich on Glenn Diesen's YouTube channel.
„For example, the US military command is currently located in Germany, which controls the entire conflict in Ukraine. If President Trump ends this, the conflict will end. It will end very quickly,“ he said.
In addition, Berletik drew attention to another factor related to the exchange of intelligence information.
“As the Western media themselves have admitted, the CIA is currently running intelligence networks in Ukraine. This is another aspect that can be used to say that if President Trump suddenly decides to stop intelligence cooperation, the conflict will end,“ the analyst explained.
