36-годишната жена се пристрастила към алкохола, когато била на едва 20 години. Моделът отбеляза, че често пиела на небезизвестните партита в имението Плейбой, а алкохолът ѝ помогнал да се отърве от безпокойството и паниката.
На 26-годишна възраст Ландън започнала да пие водка всеки ден. Била толкова пристрастена, че не излизала от дома си без бутилка. "Пиех я денонощно. Поради това често повръщах кръв. Беше същински ад. Спомням си как легнах на пода и се наливах до смърт. Не можех да стана", казва тя.
Вижте тази публикация в Instagram.5 YEARS TODAY! 🙌🏼 I posted this on my 2 yr but felt led to post this again with the hope that it reaches someone still suffering: - I’m posting this not to gross anybody out but to share my gratitude for where I am today compared to where I was on Jan 3rd 2014. W/ a blood staph infection, B.A.C of .533, conjunctivitis, weighed 78 lbs & every organ in my body including my heart & brain were failing. The right pic is the result of the acid from my urine eating away my skin because I had been lying in one spot for over a month. I was hemorrhaging out of every orifice because my blood was so thin from the amount of alcohol I was consuming. Only 6 months before this debacle I had a hemorrhagic stroke from falling over a railing that resulted in brain surgery. And there were never any drugs other than alcohol in my system. So when people talk about how innocuous alcohol is, I just laugh. It has taken brutal honesty, deep introspection and forgiveness of myself to build the life of recovery that I have today. I no longer want to numb or hurt myself and I may not love myself but I definitely don't hate myself anymore. If you've ever judged someone who had a substance abuse problem- just know they judged themselves even more. I have hopes that a picture like this can turn some of that judgement into compassion because it is hell on earth to be psychologically & physiologically addicted to something that you know is killing you, & even more emotionally injurious to those that love you. Whether you understand the disease of addiction or not; the reality is that it is one of the leading causes of death in this country so we need to at least try to understand it better. Those of you that knew about my gnarly spirals into the depths of insanity & somehow never stopped loving & rooting for me, YOU are my Heros. I can now pass that unconditional love & compassion onto the next suffering soul in my path. You created a ripple of kindness into the world that will be infinitely passed on. Im so grateful for God & for my friends & family who never stopped loving me. Thank you from the bottom of my❤️ Feel free to share to spread awareness about the abominable affects of alcoholism!

Многократно Джесика се опитвала да се върне към нормалния начин на живот, но провалите следвали един след друг. След едно от многото жестоки напивания Джесика получила ужасен кръвоизлив в мозъка, който трябвало да бъде източен при животозастрашаваща операция. Заради алкохола в системата ѝ обаче кръвта на Джесика била изключително разредена и лекарите трябвало да проведат детоксикация, преди важната интервенция. Възстановяването на Джесика било същинско чудо.
Заради битката си с алкохола Ландън многократно била арестувана за шофиране в нетрезво състояние, както и за употреба на алкохол на обществено място. Провиненията ѝ я вкарали в затвора за шест месеца, след което тя осъзнала, че е крайно време да се справи с този сериозен проблем.

"Лежах на земята и не можех да стана. Не можех да отида дори до тоалетната, толкова бях слаба. В продължение на един месец лежах в собствените си мръсотии.", добавя към плашещата история Джесика. Тя развила инфекция заради киселината, в която ѝ се наложило да лежи.
Един ден на края на силите си Джесика решила да се обади на бившия си, който се отзовал на призива за помощ. Тогава тялото на бившия модел вече тотално отказвало, а тя тежала по-малко от 40 кг. Когато я приели в болницата, Джесика била настанена в интензивното отделение, където прекарала повече от 2 седмици. След месец в лечебното заведение имала нужда и от физиотерапия, за да се научи да върви отново.
Джесика е трезва от 2014 г. насам и сега води изключително здравословен начин на живот заедно с партньора си Матю. Двамата в момента очакват първата си рожба, която трябва да проплаче през декември.

Вижте тази публикация в Instagram.Can you believe how human they already look at just 12 weeks?! I can’t get over the capacity of a woman’s body to effortlessly cultivate LIFE! It’s so Sci-fi! I Had my 3 month comprehensive ultrasound yesterday! Apparently our lil fidgety twerp is right on track in terms of growth and structure- grateful, grateful, grateful! However, there are some complications: the umbilical cord is not inserted into the placenta, it inserts into the membranes below it (Velamentous Cord insertion), which can cause a lot of dangers in 3rd trimester for me and baby. I definitely won’t be able to labor or have a vaginal birth (which I really wanted), they will schedule an early C- section to avoid the risks. I also have elevated uterine Doppler flow which is an indicator of pre-eclampsia later on. Despite the fact that every doctor has scared the living crap out of me with information regarding my high risk or “geriatric” pregnancy, I still somehow thought I was exempt from serious complications. I went down the Google rabbit hole yesterday and had the hardest time climbing out😭. I dreamt all night I had to sleep in a certain position for the baby to get enough blood flow. I’m trying to remain calm and optimistic but deep down I’m worried sick.😭😭😭 Any personal stories of early on scares/ diagnoses resulting in delivering a perfectly healthy baby would be MUCH appreciated!!! I LOVE YOU❤️
